To help you explore the real beauty of Bodmin Moor, the Best of Bodmin Moor has published four books designed to guide and advise. They are more than just walking books with directions as they give the reader a guided tour, divulging hidden secrets of this beautiful area and revealing some of the local history and folklore along the way.
The finest local artists, photographers and an experienced walks book author were brought together to produce the ideal companion for both serious walkers and less energetic visitors alike. In fact, the writer of the books who was also responsible for researching and devising the walks is the esteemed guide and author Mark Camp of Walkabout West. The books are produced in three seperate volumes and describe walks in six seperate parishes on the Moor.

'The idea of creating a circular walk around Bodmin Moor was something I had been mulling over for some time. Walkers come to Cornwall in their thousands every year to walk the South West Coast Path, but how many ever think about exploring the inland areas? Away from the gift shops and fast food outlets that often blight many of the seaside towns and villages there is another Cornwall waiting to be discovered. This other Cornwall remains hidden even to many who live in the County.
